2026 Jul 20-24 Summer Camp - 5 days - Ages 7-12 - Aerospace Engineering: Up, Up, and Away & Eco Force: Environmental Engineering
Morning Course (9:00-12:00):
Aerospace Engineering: Up, Up, and Away
During the Aerospace Engineering classes, students use the Engineering Design Process to design, create, test, and refine a variety of flying machines. They construct a shock absorbing system designed to protect two marshmallow astronauts in a lunar vehicle, create their own air-powered rockets, and assemble a model blimp that actually takes flight!
Afternoon Course (12:30-3:30):
EcoForce Environmental Engineering
As our world faces growing environmental challenges, engineers play a critical role in developing innovative solutions to protect our planet. Environmental engineers tackle issues like air and water pollution, renewable energy, and sustainable design to create a healthier future for all living things. In this program, students will take on real-world engineering challenges, using their creativity and problem-solving skills to design systems that reduce waste, harness clean energy, and improve sustainability. Through hands-on experiments and collaborative projects, they’ll think like engineers, testing and refining their ideas to make a lasting impact on the world around them.
